Provincetown Voters to Weigh $11.7 Million Mata Field Overhaul at Annual Town Meeting

PROVINCETOWN — March 27, 2024 — Provincetown previews a packed 43-article warrant ahead of its April 1 Annual Town Meeting. Town Manager Alex Morse walked residents through a public informational session March 27, centering on an $11.7 million debt-exclusion proposal to redevelop Mata Field into a multiuse recreational complex — a project carrying an estimated $180-per-year tax impact on the median $910,000 home over 15 years that requires both a two-thirds town meeting vote and a May ballot majority.
